Welcome to our social map!

We want to be sure the Belvedere works for the broadest range of people and uses so we are actively soliciting feedback and input. Our goal is to have the Belvedere active most of the time with lots of events and lots of people coming and going. In order to achieve this, we need to find out what types of events and activities people want to see there.

That is where you come in! Please review the site map and think about what types of activities you would be interested in participating in, or what types of features you'd like to see in the various zones. That will inform our design and help us ensure we are providing the right infrastructure and amenities to meet the needs of the public.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and ideas, we greatly appreciate it.

Honestly it needs to be an aquarium and not any more lawn space. Let's get an indoor playground there, something for children in winter

12 May, 2026

Smaller event lawn, right-size it to the space. There are better locations downtown with access to the street grid for events -Jefferson Sq.

More free events would be best. I love the Belvedere and would hate to see it ruined.

I would love to see more events focused around the current assets around the park, focusing on events that aren't one-offs.

Make it indoor so kids can play in winter. Also sandboxes or something for toddlers and young kids. Old kids already have playport & a-land

13 May, 2026

We could make the playground elegant so as to be a sculptural feature for adult and night events too. If it’s climbable, kids will climb it

We could make the splash pad elegant so as to be a water feature for adult and night events too. If it’s wet, kids will play in it.

I love the idea of a nature playground like Bernheim Forest has. This would offer a nice complement to the playgrounds in Waterfront Park.

12 May, 2026
